COURTVERSE
Terms & Conditions
Effective July 24, 2026
These terms govern your use of the CourtVerse app and services. By creating an account, booking a court, or listing a venue, you agree to them.
1. What CourtVerse is
CourtVerse is a marketplace that connects pickleball players with independent court venues, and a community layer for matches, Open Play, clubs, messaging, and player progression. Venues are independent businesses — CourtVerse is not a party to the rental agreement between a player and a venue.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use CourtVerse.
- You may browse venues without an account; booking, messaging, and community features require signing in.
3. Bookings & payments
- In-app payments are processed by PayMongo, our payment processor, on a secure hosted checkout supporting GCash, Maya, GrabPay, QR Ph, and cards. Payments are made to CourtVerse's official payment account — shown on payment screens and statements as PMP LAURENTOS. CourtVerse collects your payment and pays the venue's court earnings out to the venue.
- Your total shown at checkout is the court rate plus a fixed platform service fee (a peso amount displayed before you pay). Venues may set peak-hour rates — slots inside a venue's peak window are marked in the booking grid and priced at the peak rate shown before you pay.
- A booking is reserved when placed and confirmed automatically once your payment succeeds. Unpaid reservations expire and are released.
- Some venues also accept direct GCash transfer: you pay the venue's own GCash and upload proof, and the venue verifies it to confirm your booking. That payment relationship is between you and the venue.
- Cancellations and refunds follow the venue's or session host's policy. Approved refunds may be returned to your original payment method or credited to your CourtVerse Wallet (see Section 5).
4. Open Play & hosted sessions
- Venues and eligible players can host Open Play sessions. Paid sessions are paid in-app like bookings (session fee plus a service fee where shown); free sessions may be joined directly.
- If a session or your registration is cancelled, paid registrations are refunded per the announcement in-app — typically to your CourtVerse Wallet.
- Hosts must run the sessions they publish. Repeated no-show hosting or abuse can lead to hosting restrictions.
5. CourtVerse Wallet
- The Wallet holds peso-denominated credits (for example from refunds) usable for in-app payments — bookings and Open Play — at full value.
- Wallet credits are not cash: player wallet balances are not transferable and not withdrawable outside the platform.
6. Venue (vendor) & host terms
- Keep your listing accurate — courts, schedules, rates (including any peak window), and photos.
- Honor confirmed bookings, and check players in at the booked time.
- Online earnings accrue to your in-app ledger per paid booking or session, net of the payment processor's charges shown in your Earnings breakdown. The platform's service fee is retained by CourtVerse and is not part of your payout.
- Payouts are on-demand — withdraw your available balance to your registered bank or e-wallet account anytime. A per-payout processing fee (currently ₱18: the transfer cost plus a platform fee, always shown before you confirm) is deducted from the amount sent. Your balance must exceed the fee to withdraw.
- For direct-GCash bookings, the platform's service fees are payable through the in-app settlement flow; overdue settlements can place your venue's booking operations on hold until settled.
- CourtVerse may pause or suspend a venue listing for policy violations, fraudulent activity, or unpaid fees. A paused or suspended venue is hidden from players and cannot take new bookings; existing bookings are unaffected.
- Business verification documents you submit must be genuine and current.
In short: players pay in-app via PayMongo to CourtVerse's official account (PMP LAURENTOS); each venue's court earnings accrue to its in-app ledger, and the venue withdraws them on demand to its registered account, less the per-payout processing fee shown in the app. CourtVerse keeps only its service fees.
7. Community, messaging & content
- Reviews, match results, achievements, and level-ups may appear publicly on the in-app feed, leaderboards, and shareable pages with your name and photo. Reviews may be posted anonymously.
- Messaging: first-time messages between players arrive as requests the recipient can accept or decline; you can block players, and messages to a venue go to that venue's inbox. Don't use messaging to harass, spam, or scam.
- Post honestly and respectfully. We may remove content or restrict accounts that abuse the platform, post false reviews, or harass others.
- Official match results recorded by the designated scorer are final once completed and count toward ratings; casual games are unranked.
8. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service — no fraudulent bookings or payments, no scraping, no attempts to interfere with other users' accounts, the payment flow, or the platform's operation.
9. Disclaimers & liability
- Play at your own risk. CourtVerse is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or disputes occurring at venues.
- The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, CourtVerse is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of venues, hosts, and players.
10. Termination
You can stop using CourtVerse anytime and may delete your account in-app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
