COURTVERSE
Refund Policy
Effective August 7, 2026
This policy explains when a booking or session can be cancelled, when a refund applies, how to request one, and how approved refunds are returned.
CourtVerse is a product of LaurentOS, a software development company registered in the Philippines. LaurentOS develops and operates the CourtVerse platform and is the merchant of record for payments made through it.
In short. Court bookings are agreements between you and an independent venue, so refunds for those are approved and settled by that venue under the cancellation window it publishes. Open Play sessions organised by a player and cancelled by their host are refunded automatically to your CourtVerse Wallet. Platform service fees are non-refundable once a booking is confirmed.
1. Court bookings
Cancelling your own booking
- An unpaid reservation can be cancelled at any time and is released back to the venue's schedule at no charge.
- A confirmed booking can be cancelled by you up to the venue's cancellation window — commonly 3 hours before the reserved start time, though each venue sets its own (1 to 48 hours). The window that applies to your booking is shown in the app before you confirm the cancellation.
- Inside that window the slot stays reserved for you and cannot be self-cancelled, because the venue no longer has time to re-sell it.
When a refund applies
| Situation | Outcome |
| Venue cancels, or cannot provide the court |
Full refund of the court fee. Request it from the venue or contact us and we will assist. |
| You cancel outside the venue's window |
Refund of the court fee is at the venue's discretion under its published policy. |
| You cancel inside the window, or do not attend |
Generally non-refundable — the slot was held and could not be re-sold. |
| Duplicate or incorrect charge |
Full refund of the duplicated amount. Contact us and we will resolve it directly. |
Venues are independent businesses and CourtVerse is not a party to the rental agreement between you and the venue. Where a venue approves a refund, CourtVerse will facilitate the return of the amount you paid in-app.
2. Open Play sessions
- Cancelling your own spot. You can withdraw from a paid session while it is still open and before the host's cancellation cutoff, which is shown on the session. Withdrawing returns the session fee to your CourtVerse Wallet.
- Host cancels the session. Every paid registrant is refunded the session fee automatically to their CourtVerse Wallet. No request is needed.
- Sessions run by a venue. Paid spots at venue-run sessions are refunded by that venue under its own policy — contact the venue, or contact us and we will assist.
- Once a session has started or finished, session fees are no longer refundable.
3. Service fees
Each transaction includes a fixed platform service fee, shown to you before you pay. This fee covers payment processing and platform operation. It is refunded in full where a booking is cancelled by the venue, where the service could not be provided, or in the case of a duplicate or erroneous charge. It is otherwise non-refundable once a booking is confirmed.
4. How to request a refund
- Open the CourtVerse app and go to Bookings, then select the booking or session concerned.
- For a court booking, contact the venue using the message option on the booking, or cancel it directly if it is still outside the cancellation window.
- If the venue does not respond, or the charge appears incorrect, contact us through Help & Support in the app, by email at jusespinosalazar@gmail.com, or by phone on +63 916 629 7066. Include your booking reference (shown as CV-XXXXXXX).
We acknowledge refund requests within 2 business days and aim to resolve them within 7 business days of receiving the information needed to assess them.
5. How approved refunds are returned
- CourtVerse Wallet. Most in-app refunds are credited to your Wallet immediately and can be spent on any future booking or session at full value. Wallet credit is not withdrawable as cash.
- Original payment method. Where a refund to your original payment method is appropriate — for example a duplicate charge, or a service that could not be provided — it is returned to the card or e-wallet used. Depending on your bank or e-wallet provider, this typically appears within 5 to 10 banking days after we process it.
- Refunds are issued in Philippine pesos for the amount charged. CourtVerse does not charge a fee to process a refund.
6. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Where a chargeback is raised, we will provide the payment processor with the booking record, including the reference number, the reserved court and time, and the venue's check-in record.
